In JAM City

we believe the Bible should never be boring, worship can be really loud and good leaders always care. Our focus is to make disciples for Jesus Christ, hence the word JAM which is an acronym for “Jesus And Me”.
We want kids to build a relationship with Jesus, see how God's Word fits into their lives, learn how talk to Him and build friendships that will last. That's why it's important to make sure your child connects with the same friends and leader, EVERY SUNDAY!

So what does Sunday look like?

Step 1:

Get up and go to church! We will do everything we can to make it worth the trip.

Step 2:

Take your kids to JAM City, sign them in and then go and be blessed in the adult worship service.

Step 3:

When the adult service ends, collect your kids from JAM City and then enjoy a cup of coffee with the rest of the congregation.

Step 4:

Go home and spend some quality family time during the week - then next Sunday start all over!

What happens in JAM City?

Here's what a typical morning in the city looks like:

Welcome:

Each child is greeted at the entrance to the city when their parents sign them in. The kids then participate with their small group in an activity meant to introduce the one TRUTH, or bottom line for the week that we want kids to walk away with and remember.

Large Group Environment:

Shortly after arriving, the kids are moved to the large group environment where they actively participate in worship, before they listen to the Bible story. We use costumes, props, and characters from the story - anything that makes the Bible come to life. We also carve out time each week for the kids to tell God how much they love Him.

Small Group Environment:

After participating in the large group, the kids move back to their small group where the leaders help them understand how the day's bottom line can fit into their everyday life. JAM City small group leaders are serious about having fun with kids and passionate about teaching them the TRUTH.
We want kids to fit God's Word into their lives, learn how to talk to Him, and build lasting friendships. Every Sunday they connect with the same small group of kids and the JAM City leaders. That way they get connected and we have the best chance to establish a relationship that's going to matter when they need it most.

Your role as a Parent

The average child will spend over 1000 hours in school and less than 50 hours in church, every year. As a parent, you have more than 10 times the opportunities to discuss spiritual issues with your child in one year than a church leader does in 10 years. The church has limited potential to impact the heart of your child. WHAT HAPPENS AT HOME in many ways is more important than what happens at church! Volunteers
Every Sunday, volunteers show up and work together in their unique roles to create an amazing environment for our kids. JAM City is totally volunteer-fuelled and wouldn't exist without the leadership and expertise of our volunteers. Each volunteer has a part to play on our team. Some of the volunteer roles are: Small Group Leader: serves as the primary role model for a group of eight to ten kids on a weekly basis.
